Frequently asked questions

How does the open-house sign-in work?

Every listing gets its own sign-in page and a QR code. Put the QR on your yard sign or a tablet at the door — visitors scan or tap, enter their details, and they're captured as a lead in your dashboard instantly. No paper sheet, no typing them up later.

Do visitors get a text automatically?

If they check the consent box when signing in, yes — they get an instant text from you, with your name and number, so you can start the conversation while they're still interested. Visitors who don't consent are still saved as leads; they just won't be texted.

How do people opt out of texts?

Every message supports STOP to opt out and HELP for help, following carrier rules. Once someone replies STOP, they won't receive any further texts from you through OpenHouseHQ.

Can I edit a listing after I create it?

Yes. Open the listing and choose Edit to update the price, photo, or any details. Your public link and QR code stay the same, so any signs you've already printed keep working.

What happens when a house sells?

Mark the listing as Sold. Its public page switches to a 'this home has sold' view that invites nearby buyers to ask about similar homes, and the listing moves to the Sold section of your dashboard. Nothing is deleted — the leads you captured stay right where they are.

Where do my leads go?

Every lead appears on that listing's page in your dashboard, with their contact details, buying timeline, and consent status. From there you can text the visitors who opted in about price changes or new listings.

How much does OpenHouseHQ cost?

OpenHouseHQ is in beta right now, so it's free to use while we finish building it. We'll share pricing before we introduce any paid plans.
